Plurality Electoral System

Also called “first-past-the-post” or “winner-take-all” systems, plurality systems simply award a seat to the individual candidate who receives the most votes in an election. The candidate does not need to get a majority (50 %+) of the votes to win so as long as he has a larger number of votes than all other candidates, he is declared as the winner. Plurality systems normally depend on single-member constituencies, and allow the voters to indicate only one vote on their ballot.

Our electoral system to choose the parliament's candidate is plurality electoral system.
